Julia Jarmond, American journalist married to a Frenchman gets an assigment to write an article on notorius raid “Vel d’Hiv” which happened in 1942. in Paris. During her work on the article she discovers a family secret which will bind her forever to fate of a young Jewish girl named Sara. Julia finds out that the apartment in which she is about to move in with her husband Bertrand became property of Bertrands family 60 years ago, when jewish tennants were deported from it. She decides to find out what happened with that Jewish family.
